Attention.
- Prolonged and repeated contact with mineral oil causes the natural oils of the skin to be removed, leading to irritation and dermatitis. In addition, motor oil contains potentially harmful substances that can cause skin cancer.
- Take steps to reduce the time and frequency of skin contact with the oil. Use protective clothing and gloves. Wash skin thoroughly with soap and water. Do not use gasoline or thinner.
- To avoid environmental pollution, do not discard the oil filter and do not pour out engine oil in non-designated places.
Gasoline engines
1. Drain the engine oil.
Remove the engine oil filler cap.
Remove the drain plug and drain the oil into a suitable container.
2. Replace oil filter.
(1) Remove the cover (A) oil filter.
(2) Remove the oil filter.
(3) Check and clean the oil filter mounting surface.
(4) Make sure the new oil filter is the same as the old filter.
(5) Apply clean engine oil to the new oil filter gasket.
(6) Start the oil filter first, and then tighten it until the gasket contacts the seat.
(7) Tighten to recommended torque.
Note: Tightening torque: 11.8-15.7 Nm.
3. Fill with engine oil.
(1) Clean and install the drain plug with a new gasket.
Note: Tightening torque: 34.3 - 44.1 Nm.
(2) Fill with clean engine oil.
Note:
- Oil volume 2.0 l (without BSM) /2,4 (with BSM): Full: 4.7 / 5.4 liters.
- Oil pan: 3.8 / 4.2 l.
- Volume with oil filter (Change of oil): 4.1/4.5 l.
(3) Install the oil filler cap.
4. Start the engine and check the system for leaks.
5. Recheck the engine oil level.
Diesel engines
1. Drain the engine oil.
(1) Remove the engine oil filler cap.
(2) Remove the drain plug and drain the oil into a suitable container.
Note: Tightening torque: 34.3 - 44.1 Nm.
2. Replace oil filter.
(1) Loosen the drain bolt (A) at the bottom of the oil filter cap and drain the oil from the filter. Replace o-ring (IN) drain bolt to a new one.
(2) Remove the cover (A) oil filter.
(3) Replace o-ring (IN) new oil filter caps.
Check threaded part and o-ring (IN) filter covers. Wipe the seating surface on the oil filter cap and apply a thin coat of oil to the O-ring.
(4) Install a new filter element (WITH) oil filter.
(5) Slightly screw the oil filter cap into place and tighten until the O-ring contacts the seating surface. Then tighten it to the specified torque.
(6) Tighten the drain bolt to the specified torque.
Note:
- Tightening torque: Drain bolt: 10 Nm.
- Oil filter cap: 31.5 - 38.5 Nm.
3. Fill with engine oil.
(1) Clean and install the drain plug with a new gasket.
Note: Tightening torque: 34.3 - 44.1 Nm.
(2) Remove the dipstick and fill with new engine oil.
Attention. Fill in half of the oil first, wait at least one minute and then the other half.
Note:
- Oil volume: Full: 9.6 l.
- Oil pan: 7.3 l.
- Volume with oil filter (Change of oil): 8.0 l.
(3) Install the oil filter cover and dipstick.
4. Start the engine and check for oil leaks.
5. Recheck the engine oil level.
