1. Remove the clamps, then remove the CV joint boot with offset grooves.
2. Using a screwdriver (A), remove retaining ring (IN).
3. Remove the drive shaft from the CV joint.
4. Remove retaining ring (A), then remove the inner ring (IN), clip (WITH) and balls (D).
5. Rinse the inner ring, race and balls.
Checking the technical condition
1. Check outer race, inner race, cage, balls for wear and damage.
2. Check splines for damage.
3. Check the Birfield CV joint (A) for the presence of foreign materials.
