2. Lubricate the drive shaft and put on the hinge covers.
Lubrication type:
- for models with 2.0 and 2.4 l engines:
- external: CENTOPLEX 278M/136K
- internal: KLK TJ41-182
- for models with engines with a displacement of 2.7 liters:
- external: CENTURY
- internal: ONE LUBER GKN
3. Hold the outer joint and drive shaft so. to keep them in a straight line, install the damper as shown and tighten the clamp.
4. Fill the inner joint and inner joint boot with grease.
- Lubrication type:
- for models with 2.0 and 2.4 l engines:
- external: CENTOPLEX 278M/136K
- internal: KLK TJ41-182
- for models with engines with a displacement of 2.7 liters:
- external: CENTURY
- internal: ONE LUBER GKN
- Amount of lubricant for the joint for models with engines of displacement:
- 2.0 L: 75±3 g
- 2.4L: 100±3g
- 2.7L: 100±3g
- Lubricant quantity for cover: 40±3g
- Amount of lubricant for the joint for models with engines of displacement:
- 2.0L, 2.4L: 45±3g
- 2.7L: 60±3g
5. Add grease to the outer joint race in an amount equal to the amount of grease removed during inspection.
6. Establish covers of hinges and collars of covers.
7. Tighten the outer hinge boot clamps and, after checking that the shaft length is within specifications, tighten the inner hinge boot clamps.
Length "A" left shaft for models with engines displacement:
- 2.0 l: 624.5±2 mm
- 2.4L: 687.6±2mm
- 2.7L: 706.0±2mm
Length "A" right shaft for models with engines displacement:
- 2.0 l: 937.5±2 mm
- 2.4 l: 1000.6±2 mm
- 2.7L: 686.5±2mm
