Pipes and hoses of the cooling system (engines 2.0 l / 2.4 l).
1 - upper radiator hose, 2 - lower radiator hose, 3 - cooling system supply pipe, 4 - O-ring
Pipes and hoses of the cooling system (engine 2.7 l).
1 - outlet pipe of the cooling system (for upper radiator hose), 2 - inlet pipe of the cooling system (for lower radiator hose), 3 - thermostat, 4 - coolant temperature sensor, 5 - heater hose fitting, 6 - gasket, 7 - O-ring, 8 - coolant supply pipe, 9 - O-ring.
Withdrawal
1. Drain the coolant.
Note: To avoid burns, do not remove the radiator cap or expansion tank cap while the engine is hot, as fluid and vapor are under pressure.
2. Remove hoses and tubes of the cooling system.
3. If necessary, remove the thermostat housing and the supply pipe of the cooling system.
Examination
Check the hoses and pipes of the cooling system for cracks, damage or deposits on their inner walls. Replace if necessary.
Installation
1. Installation is made in an order, the return to removal.
2. When installing, pay attention to the installation operation of the supply pipe of the cooling system.
- A) Place the O-ring on the coolant inlet pipe, apply a little coolant or water to its outer surface, and then install the pipe in place.
Note:
- Keep engine oil and grease away from the O-ring surface of the cooling pipe.
- Do not allow sand, dust, etc. to enter the connection points of the supply pipe of the cooling system.
- Insert the coolant supply pipe into the coolant pump as far as it will go.
- Do not install a used O-ring. Replace the removed gasket with a new one.
2.0L / 2.4L engines | Engine 2.7 l. |
3. After installation is complete, fill in the coolant.
