Oil filter replacement

All Hyundai engines are equipped with a high quality, disposable oil filter. This filter is recommended as a replacement filter on all vehicles. Only high quality filters should be used to ensure proper engine operation. When replacing the filter, make sure that the rubber gasket from the old oil filter is completely removed from the mating surface of the cylinder block.

Attention! Be careful when changing engine oil as the oil is hot and can cause burns.

1. Unscrew the oil filter with a special key.

2. Lubricate the rubber sealing ring of the new oil filter with a thin layer of clean engine oil.



Tightening torque: 12–16 Nm

4. Start the engine and check for oil leaks.

5. After stopping the engine, check the oil level and top up if necessary.
