1. Power switch, volume knob; 2. Bass tone control knob / Left / right stereo balance control knob; 3. Treble tone control knob / Front / rear stereo balance control knob; 4. Frequency setting button; 5. Buttons for memorizing stations; 6. Range selection button; 7. Tone correction button; 8. Strongest Station Store Button or Automatic Station Tuning Button (optional equipment).
1. Power switch. The radio operates when the ignition key is in the "ON" ("On") or "ACC" ("Optional equipment"). Press the button to turn on the power. In radio station reception mode, the LCD will show the frequency of the received radio station, in cassette playback mode, the tape direction indicator will be shown, and in the CD playback or CD changer mode, the record indicator will be shown ("tracks"). To turn off the power of the radio, press the button again.
Volume knob. Turn the knob clockwise to increase the volume, and turn it counterclockwise to decrease the volume.
2. BASS/BALANCE (Bass tone control / Stereo left/right balance control).
BASS (Bass tone control knob). Press the handle so that it pops out. Turn the knob clockwise to increase the bass tone, and turn the knob counterclockwise to decrease the bass tone.
BALANCE (Left/Right stereo balance adjustment knob). Pull the handle extended outward to the next fixed position. Turn the knob clockwise to increase the right speaker volume. (The volume of the left speaker will decrease). Turning the knob counterclockwise will increase the volume of the left speaker. (The volume of the right speaker will decrease).
3. TREBLE/FAD Knob (Treble tone control / Stereo front / rear balance control).
TREBLE Control Knob (Treble tone control knob) Push the knob in to pop it out and turn it left or right to set the tone you want in the treble region.
FAD (Fader Control) Knob (Front/rear stereo balance adjustment knob). Pull the handle extended outward to the next fixed position. Turn the knob counterclockwise to increase the volume of the front speakers. (Rear speaker volume will decrease). Turning the knob clockwise will increase the volume of the rear speakers, (The volume of the front speakers will decrease).
4. TUNE (Manual frequency button). Press the △ or ▽ sides of this button to increase or decrease the frequency. To continue searching, press and hold either side of the button until the desired frequency is reached.
Automatic frequency setting. Press and hold the frequency setting button (TUNE) for 0.5 seconds or longer, when released, the receiver will automatically tune in to the next available station, accompanied by a beep. If you press the △ side of the button for 0.5 seconds or longer and release it, the radio will automatically tune in to the next higher frequency station, and if you press the ▽ side of the button for 0.5 seconds or longer and lower it, the radio will automatically tune in to the next lower frequency station.
5. Buttons for memorizing stations. You can memorize this radio six (6) stations on each of the AM, FM1 and FM2 bands.
Storing station frequencies
You can memorize 6 AM stations and 12 FM stations into the audio system's memory. You can then simply press the band select button and/or one of the six station memorization buttons to select one of these stations. To memorize these stations, do the following:
- Press the band select button to select one of the AM, FM1 or FM2 bands.
- Select the station you want to store in memory using manual or automatic tuning.
- Select the station memory button to which you want to assign this station,
- Press and hold this station store button for two or more seconds. The display will show an indicator with the number of the station memorization button you have selected. After memorizing a frequency, its value will flash on the display. You must release the button and you can continue memorizing other stations. A total of 18 stations can be programmed by assigning one AM station and two FM stations to one button.
- At the end of programming stations after selecting any of the AM, FM1 or FM2 bands, you can turn on any of them by pressing the corresponding button for storing station frequencies.
6. FM/AM (Range button). Pressing the [FM/AM] button switches the bands AM, FM1 and FM2. The selected range is displayed on the LCD.
7. EQ (Tone Correction Button). To obtain the desired sound quality, press this button to select CLASSIC, JAZZ, ROCK and DEFEAT mode.
8. BSM (Strongest station memorization button) (optional equipment). Pressing and holding this button for two seconds or more selects the six strongest stations and stores them in memory. The selected stations are arranged in ascending frequency order, starting with the first station store button.
SCAN (Button for automatic tuning of received stations) (optional equipment). When you press this button, the frequency will increase and the receiver will tune in 5 seconds to one received station after another. To stop, press this button again.
