The fuel filler cap can be opened from inside the vehicle by pulling up on the fuel filler cap release lever located at the front of the floor area on the left side of the vehicle.
Note: If the sunroof won't open due to ice, lightly tap or press on it to break the ice. Do not open the cover by lever force. If necessary, apply an approved defrosting agent around it (do not use engine coolant for this), or park the vehicle in a warm place and wait for the ice to melt.
Warning:
- Fuel vapors are toxic. Fill the tank only when the engine is stopped and make sure that there is no sparking or open flame near the filler neck. If it is necessary to replace the filler cap, use only a genuine Hyundai spare part.
- In hot weather, a slight hissing sound may be heard when the plug is opened, which is normal and should not cause concern.
- Open the cork by turning it slowly.
