Proper handling of CDs
Take the disc as shown in the picture. Don't drop it. Handle the disc in such a way that you do not leave fingerprints on its surface. Recordings may be skipped if there are scratches on the surface. Do not attach tape, paper, or self-adhesive labels to the disc. Do not write on the disc.
Damaged discs
Do not attempt to play damaged, warped or cracked discs. This may cause serious damage to the playback mechanism.
Disc storage
When not in use, put discs in separate cases and store them in a cool place away from direct sunlight, heat, and dust.
Do not grasp or pull the disc while it is being pulled into the player by the self-loading mechanism.
Keep discs clean
Fingerprints, dust or dirt on the surface of the disc may cause skipped recordings.
Wipe the discs with a clean soft cloth as shown in the illustration. If it is very dirty, wipe the disc with a damp, clean cloth soaked in a neutral detergent solution.
