1. Check the ease of rotation of the oil pump rotors and the absence of cracks in the housing.
2. Using a set of feeler gauges and a metal ruler, measure the clearance between the pump cover and the rotors. Rated value: 0.04-0.085mm (inner rotor); 0.04-0.09 mm (outer rotor). If clearance is greater than specification, replace rotor assemblies.
3. Measure the gap between the tops of the teeth of the rotors. Nominal value: 0.025-0.069 mm. If clearance is greater than specification, replace rotor assemblies.
4. Measure the clearance between the outer rotor and the pump housing. Nominal value: 0.060-0.090 mm. If clearance is greater than specification, replace rotor assemblies or pump housing.
5. Check the ease of movement of the pressure reducing valve plunger and the free length of the spring. Nominal value: 46.6 mm. The valve plug must fall freely into the seat under its own weight.
