Warning! Be careful when changing the engine filter, as the oil is hot and can cause burns.
Order of execution
1. Unscrew the oil filter with a special wrench. If the oil filter rubber o-ring remains on the cylinder block, remove it.
2. Lubricate the rubber o-ring of the new oil filter with a thin coat of clean engine oil.
3. Screw in the oil filter until the oil filter O-ring contacts the cylinder block, then tighten it by hand.
4. Start the engine and check for oil leaks.
5. Turn off the engine and wait 5 minutes for the oil to drain into the sump. Check the engine oil level and top up if necessary.
