During the first 2000 km of run
Formally, your new car does not require any special operations for running the car. However, you can help extend the life, as well as improve the fuel economy and performance of your new HYUNDAI, by adhering to the following guidelines for the first 2,000 km.
Order of execution
Do not exceed the speed limit of 88 km/h.
While driving, keep the engine running between 2000 and 4000 rpm–1 (revolutions per minute).
Do not operate the vehicle at maximum accelerations.
Avoid pulling away at full power.
Avoid sudden braking during the first 300 km, except in dangerous situations. This will help to properly break in the brake pads.
Do not overload the engine (in other words, avoid driving slowly when the gear is too high, shift to a lower gear).
On vehicles equipped with an exhaust gas catalytic converter, do not allow the engine to idle for more than 3 minutes.
Refrain from towing a trailer during the first 2000 km.
